Aggregation program renewed for 3 years

The aggregation program serving the communities since 2016 has been renewed until 2023.

No action is required to stay in the program.

The program will also have the option for 100% renewable electricity for those who want to take strong action on climate change.

How do I join or opt out of the program?

If you live within the jurisdictional boundaries of one of the 23 participating communities and are on utility Basic Service (not in contract with a third party supplier), you will automatically be enrolled in the program unless opt out. If you wish to opt out, simply send back the self-addressed postage-paid opt-out card enclosed in the letter you receive from Public Power, LLC within 30 days of the letter’s postmark. The opt-out letter will contain all necessary information about the community electricity aggregation program. You may also opt out here or contact the program supplier, Public Power, LLC, directly in order to opt out.

If you opt out of the program, you may opt back in at any time at the original contract rate of $10.122 cents per kilowatt-hour through January 2021.

Please note, the opt-out letter will have your community’s municipal seal on the outside and should not be considered unsolicited or junk mail.

Good Energy, L.P. is the leading national energy management and consulting firm implementing large and small municipal electricity aggregation programs in various states across the country since 2008. Originally developed in partnership with the Southeastern Regional Planning and Economic Development District (SRPEDD), this aggregation program was designed and is currently operated by Good Energy. Good Energy is headquartered in New York City and is currently the retained municipal electricity aggregation consultant for over 200 communities across the country. SRPEDD selected Good Energy to serve as its energy consultant through a competitive process, in partnership with neighboring cities and towns.
