Attention Dedham Residents
In July 2017, the supply portion of your electric service was assigned from ConEd Solutions to Constellation as a result of Constellation’s acquisition of ConEd Solutions. During this assignment, Constellation submitted your account to Eversource (formerly NSTAR) at an incorrect rate of $0.1329/kWh. Your rate should have been $0.0969/kWh. This resulted in an overcharge for your supply charge appearing on your most recent invoice (covering July-August usage) from Eversource.
We have corrected the issue at the utility and you are now enrolled at the correct rate. You will receive a credit on your next utility bill (the bill covering August-September usage) for the difference in cost between these two rates plus an additional 10%. Please pay your utility bill as you normally would.
You will be receiving a letter in the coming days from Constellation notifying impacted participants and how the matter will be rectified.
THE COMMUNITIES PARTICIPATING (CLICK HERE TO FIND YOUR COMMUNITY) IN THE ELECTRICITY AGGREGATION PROGRAM HAVE CHOSEN ConEdison Solutions (acquired in 2016 by Constellation – please see NEWS & INFORMATION) AS THE SUPPLIER FOR A 24 MONTH TERM STARTING IN JANUARY 2016.
ALL ELIGIBLE ACCOUNT HOLDERS WILL RECEIVE AN OPT-OUT LETTER. THE OPT-OUT LETTER WILL BE RECOGNIZABLE AS COMING FROM YOUR CITY OR TOWN WITH THE OFFICIAL MUNICIPAL SEAL ON THE ENVELOPE.
A WORD OF CAUTION
NO ONE WILL BE CALLING OR VISITING YOUR HOME REGARDING THIS PROGRAM. ANY IN PERSON HOUSE CALLS OR PHONE CALLS YOU RECEIVE CLAIMING TO BE PART OF THIS PROGRAM, ARE NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROGRAM
